Church 101
In the Bible, the church was a community that had everything in common and devoted herself to the apostle's teaching, to fellowship, breaking of bread and to prayer. Daily, the brothers and sisters, who became the body of Christ, met together to share God's love with one another. And the picture of the church was awesome, attracting thousands of new believers. In a world that is increasingly secular and isolated, how can we strive to be the church and continue to be the salt and light of the earth? What can we do to safeguard the gospel message so that, as the body of Christ, we can continue to be the pillar and foundation of truth, as Paul wrote in 1 Tim. 3:15, "The Church is God's chosen instrument to carry the gospel to the ends of the earth." It's essential then that we do church right.
Time required outside of class: 2 hours per week Prerequisite: Written salvation testimony
