Deuteronomy 15:11 There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.
Jesus told us that giving is better than receiving. With that same spirit, we at Joyland join with Compassion International to help poor and needy children around the world. Joyland students who join in Compassion ministry exchange letters and drawings with a friend from the other side of the world while donating from their own allowances to help with sponsorship. By helping others in this small way, we get a chance to experience God’s heart for the less fortunate and to listen to Jesus’ command to "love your neighbor."
