A podcast is a normal MP3 audio file. Contrary to what most people think, you do not need an Apple iPod to play it. In fact, since it's just a normal MP3, you can play in using any audio player that you have, even your portable MP3 player.
Podcasting is a way of distributing audio files via the Internet that lets you subscribe to a number of files, also known as “feeds”, and then hear it whenever you want. A great way to listen to a Podcast is through iTunes. Whenever a new podcast is available, iTunes will automatically download it, and if you have an iPod, copy it over to your iPod playlist.
